Amendment 11
This amendment states that the government cannot extend to any suit in law or equality. This means that if a person from Kansas cannot sue someone from California in federal court.
Amendment 12
This amendment revises the election process. Which means that everyone in the presidential elections are playing by the rules.
Amendment 13
The people cannot be forced to be slaves or work forcefully. People have the right to choose their own paths and decide who they want to work for.
Amendment 14
This amendment allows people born or naturalized in the United States as Citizens. No matter where your parents are from as long as you were in the United States when you were born.
Amendment 15
This amendment says that the right of citizens to vote shall not be denied. If a person is voting no one can say no to him.
Amendment 16
This amendment allows the federal government to collect income tax on the people. This means that when people get paid for their jobs the government can take some money from the pay check.
Amendment 17
This amendment states that people do the electing instead of the government electing. The government cannot vote because it would be unfair for the people.
Amendment 18
This amendment prohibits the use of alcohol. Which means that alcohol use of any type is not allowed.
Amendment 19
This amendment establishes the right for women's suffrage. Which means that women have the right to vote.
Amendment 20
This amendment states when the newly elected president and congress take office. The president enters office on January 20, while Congress takes office on January 3.
Amendment 21
This amendment repeals the 18th amendment. But instead of prohibiting alcohol, it prohibits the illegal use of alcohol.
Amendment 22
This amendment limits president's and vice president's stay no more than two years. This means that if a president and a vice president get re-elected that is their last stay at office.
Amendment 23
The number of electors for the president and vice president should equal the number of senators and representatives. This means that however many senators and house of representatives should be equal to the number of electors or people who vote for the president and vice president.
Amendment 24
This amendment states that the right of citizens to vote in any primary election shall not be denied. This means that people who are born or naturalized in the US shall not be denied to vote.
Amendment 25
The vice president shall take place of the president and take responsibility of the replaced vice president. This only happens when the president passes away or resigns from office.
Amendment 26
This amendment states that citizens 18 years or older have the right to vote. Under no circumstances shall they be denied from voting.
Amendment 27
This amendment states that increasing or decreasing the salary of members of congress is not allowed. This can be an act of bribery, and bribery is illegal.
